Salak Pondoh Agro Tourism or snake fruit is the superior product from Sleman, Yogyakarta. Salak Pondoh plants are characterized as upper palm trees with a fern pattern. It is a nice thing to do that can get straight when picking up and tasting the fruit. The construction of Salak Pondoh Agro Tourism started in 1988 and officially opened in 1994.
Mr. Sudibyo is the founder of Agro Tourism Salak Pondoh in Turi village. He has developed the snake fruit in his parents' garden and tried to invite community and participation. At first, he got rejected for planting other crops to sacrifice. Because of his persistence, eventually, surrounding residents followed his advice. Salak Pondoh has already been sold almost all over Indonesia even in Malaysia, Japan, and other countries.
Salak Pondoh has a land area of 27 hectares and is a complex snake fruit park. A children's playground, fishing, and a swimming pool also exist. Located at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and the temperature is good for developing cultured plants of snake fruit. The cool atmosphere of the village could feel it and provide comfort when circling.
Salak Pondoh is the mainstay of Archipelago Gardens. More than 17 species of plants snake fruit garden area of 2 hectares. Ranging from the snake fruit super, Blacksnake fruit, Yellow Snake fruit, Manggala snake fruit, Condet snake fruit, Balinese snake fruit, and more. In addition to fruit crops, there is also a park medication garden where grows, such as ginger turmeric, star fruit, and others are constantly being developed.
